Michael Sansolo Joins Aisle7 Board of Directors

Portland, Ore—May 5, 2008— Aisle7™ (formerly Healthnotes®), the leader in wellness marketing programs for food and drug retailers, today announced the addition of Michael Sansolo, Retail Food Industry Consultant and former SVP of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), to its board of directors to  help the company capitalize on the enormous opportunities around wellness and shopper marketing. He joins a dynamic, well-connected board consisting of several key Aisle7 executives and retail technology and consumer marketing experts.

Michael Sansolo, the long time senior vice president of FMI and past editor-in-chief of Progressive Grocer, offers a diverse and unique view of the changing nature of today’s shoppers and their impact on the food retail industry.   

In his 13 years as senior vice president at FMI, the biggest food retail association in the US, Sansolo oversaw all education, supply chain, and research activities.  Sansolo is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, is a current member of the Coca-Cola Retailing Research Council, and is a past member of the American Greetings Research Council.  He currently serves on the board of The Food Institute and was a long-time member of the industry advisory board at Western Michigan University. Sansolo is contributing editor and a weekly columnist for Morningnewsbeat.com. Sansolo is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Cortland with a degree in political science, economics, and journalism.    

Two long-time investors and board members are transitioning to advisor roles: Linda Dozier, Chief Technology Officer for In2Books and formerly a co-founder of Navisoft and VP of Corporate Development at AOL, and Stan Amy, founder of both Nature’s and New Seasons Market in Portland, Ore. Both Dozier and Amy were instrumental in Healthnotes’ success to-date and will remain involved with the Company.
