Aisle7 is seeking a full-time Senior Quality Assurance Lead to participate in all aspects of development, from iteration and release planning to test development and execution. You will provide direction regarding quality on development projects where everyone has responsibility for delivering a quality product. This includes developing overall test plans, building automated test suites using available tools and frameworks, and executing any manual tests that can’t be automated.
As our Senior QA Lead, you will:
Analyze and review requirements and user stories for testability, and make suggestions for requirements
Identify risks in the application being developed, and in third party applications integrated into the company’s applications
Develop test requirements, test plans, test matrices and test suites for products
Develop test execution and reporting procedures, and coordinate test execution efforts
Lead and participate in the design and development of automated functional tests
Write and execute test cases, investigate test failures, write bug reports and verify fixes
Reproduce issues reported by internal and external application developers
Report useful test metrics as feedback to the development team
Ensure bugs are well-characterized so Product Management can assess customer impact and priority vis-à-vis other product requirements
Verify that the software is ready for shipment
Mentor and lead other QA team members
Successful candidates will have strong communication, organizational and teamwork skills, ability to set priorities, technical credibility, attention to detail, a history of on-time delivery, and an ability to work well under pressure.
Technical requirements include:
6-8 years progressive experience in software quality assurance
ASP.NET, MS SQL, and MySQL Server skills at mid-to senior-levels
Experience with writing and maintaining automated functional tests using a variety of tools (N Unit, WATIR, etc.)
Experience with complex build processes integrated with automated testing and QA reporting
Experience with build and release automation tools
Experience managing direct and temp testing staff
Experience troubleshooting problems in a production environment
Experience with application servers (e.g. IIS 6, ASP.NET, JBoss, etc.)
Proficiency with Windows operating environments
Experience with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and teams
Experience with web applications in a hosted applications model desirable
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
